Shopping together

Shop with a friend, wherever they are

Invite someone you trust to browse the store with you, live. You see the same products, talk them over and decide together, even when you are miles apart.

How to start

  1. Tap Invite a friend

On a product page, look for the Invite a friend button next to Add to cart. Some stores also have a round button in a corner of the page. The store may have renamed or moved them. Either one opens your own private room.

  2. Invite a friend

Send your invite link in any messaging app, or let your friend scan the QR code with their phone. Each link works once, so make a new one for each person.

  3. Shop side by side

Your friend opens the link and lands in the store with you. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

What you can do together

  • Browse together, live

Choose how you shop in Settings, and switch whenever you like:

    • Tag-along: your friends follow what you are looking at, live.
    • Together: whoever opens a page takes everyone there.
    • Apart: each of you looks around at your own pace, and the chat stays connected.
  • Chat and voice messages

Type a message, or tap the microphone to record a voice message of up to a minute. Ticks show when your message has been delivered and read.

  • Share an item

Found the right size and colour? Tap Share this item and it goes into the chat. Your friend can check the price and put that exact item in their own cart with Add to my cart. Only their cart changes, and each of you checks out on your own.

A store can turn item sharing off.

  • Messages wait for you

If your friend steps away, your messages wait for them. The next time they visit the store they see what you wrote, and one tap takes them back to your room. Closed the page by mistake? Tap Invite a friend again within a day and you are back in the same room.

  • Ask the store

Some stores have someone on hand to help. If you see Ask the store, tap it to invite a person from the store into your room to answer your questions. Nobody from the store joins unless you ask.

  • The host keeps it friendly

Whoever starts a session is its host. Where the store allows it, the host can quiet someone in the chat for a while, take someone out of the session, choose who may join, hand out the mic on a call, and ask a friend to co-host. Anyone this happens to gets a short, calm note, never a telling-off in front of the others.

  • Rewards

Some stores offer rewards, such as a discount code, for shopping together. If this one does, a gift icon lets you know when there is something for you.

Your privacy

  • Your cart, checkout and account pages are always private. Nobody else sees them, and everyone pays on their own.

  • Want to keep another page to yourself? Add it under Settings → Privacy → Private pages.

  • No app and no account needed. It all runs in your browser, and you get a made-up name that you can change at any time.

Languages

  • Shopping together starts in the language of the page you are on, if it speaks it, and in English if not. Pick another under Settings → Language.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. You get a made-up name as soon as you start, and you can change it whenever you want.

Does my friend need to install an app?

No. Your friend only needs the link. It opens in their usual browser.

Can they see my cart?

No. Your cart, checkout and account pages stay private, and each of you pays for your own things. If you want your friend to have something, share the item and they can add it to their own cart.

What if my friend is on a phone?

That works. Phones, tablets and computers can all shop together, in any mix. Sitting together? Your friend can also scan the QR code on your screen with their phone.
